The British Showjumping Bristol & Somerset Area Show was held the last weekend of July at Chard Equestrian.
During the weekend 190 horses & ponies competed over a mixture of heights from Club 70cm to a National 1.30m Open and along with a fair amount of prize money on offer the top two in each class were awarded a bale of Chipmunk Zebra Bedding, so all was to play for during the weekend.
Local rider Chloe Reynolds took home 6 wins including the Bristol & Somerset Novice Championship which included the sought after Audrey Beer Memorial Trophy.
The Field brothers, Will & Ted, took 5 wins between them dominating the Pony classes.
Michael Brain took home the Libby Holliday Memorial Trophy when he won a fast 1.10m Open on Saturday.
Sponsor Alice Watson Sports Horses was fortunate to take home 1st & 2nd in the big class on Saturday with Jabeena Maslin Equestrian taking the top 3 spots on Sunday.
Nicola Foad continued on her current good form by taking the £100.00 top spot in the Minster Tippers Ltd 1.05m Grand Prix.
