March has been the start of the season for our Expedition Unit and our sponsored riders. Aldon’s three day International Horse Trials were affected by the weather causing Friday to be cancelled, Saturday to run and unfortunately Sunday was cancelled too. With many events cancelled due to the bad weather it has been difficult for our sponsored riders to get their horses out to compete. However, Alex Bragg managed to compete on Saturday at Aldon International Horse Trials coming 2nd on Bonmahon Blue Mist, 4th on Cooga Hat Trick and 21st on The Corn Crake in the bitter cold winds. Alex also took five horses to Gatcombe with 3 horses in the top 20.

Tom McEwen has also had a good start to the season having many runs with 8 horses at Tweseldown coming 1st on Dreamaway II, 6th on Braveheart, and 12th on Dream Big, also Great Witchingham International with two horses, coming 3rd on Strike Samrtly. Finally Gatcombe; Tom took 8 horses coming 1st on Royal Roxey, 9th on BGS Class Affair and 10th on Figaro Van Het Broekxhof.

We have our fingers crossed so that the weather can get better and the Eventing season can get well under way!
