After lots of BE events have been cancelled all over the country, Morton in Dorset stepped in and within one week managed to arrange a brilliant two day competition with classes from BE80 through to Intermediate Novice. Two of Chipmunks team competed there, Holly Bluck and Seppelino (Leo) had another brilliant round and picked up a few time penalties XC to finish 8th. A really good confidence round leading up to the Badminton Mitshubish Cup trip in May. George Bolt and UC Cavaloon (Jack) had another strong performance in the Novice Section finishing 4th. An absolute treat to have a day of competition in sunny Dorset! George and Jack are next planning to compete at Whithington Manor and then hope to fulfil a long time aim of competing at Chatsworth International Horse Trials.
Alex Bragg and Tom McEwen both had several horses at Belton International Horse Trials in Lincolnshire on the same weekend, managing to get their Badminton Horses out. Aldon International Horse Trials – 20 – 22nd April Helen West and Beccy Barrett and their team at Bicton Arena managed to pull off a fabulous few days of eventing after the very trying weather conditions. Entries were full to the brim and the team did a wonderful job, the courses look fabulous, and the sun finally made an appearance! Chipmunk had three of their team competing Alex Bragg, Tom McEwen and Holly Bluck, all had a very successful few days of eventing and all off to Badminton at the beginning of May. Look out for Holly and Leo number 404 in the Badminton Mitshubishi Motors Cup (Competition on the Wednesday) and Alex Bragg with Zagreb, No. 5 and Redpath Ransom at 82. Tom McEwen with Toledo at No. 3 and Strike Smartly at 93 – We will be there cheering them all on!
